Site overview

This 13-story commercial/office building is the former National Headquarters of the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., who moved to the site when the building was completed in 1957, and vacated the building in 1992. The glass curtain walled building was heralded by the architectural community when it was constructed. Designed by architect William T. Meyer, with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as consulting architects and Roy O. Allen, Jr., as the project designer. The building's lobby has gone through a number of renovations, first by Janko Rasic Architects and another more recently project that again overhauled the space.
